Robert Milanette

Robert Milanette joined Rockport Mortgage in 2005 and has 20 years of experience originating and structuring FHA-insured multifamily mortgage loans, with a particular focus on the recapitalization and preservation of affordable housing projects.  

Robert has significant experience in structuring complex affordable transactions involving Section 8 and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and regularly assists clients with Section 8 Contract Renewals in connection with recapitalizations. 

Prior to joining Rockport Mortgage, Robert spent more than seven years as a practicing attorney at two of Boston’s premier law firms. While at Foley Hoag LLP, Robert represented companies on a broad range of complex business transactions; and while at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP, represented a diverse group of clients in complex commercial litigation matters. Robert utilizes his legal expertise to assist Rockport’s clients in structuring and executing complex recapitalizations utilizing the full range of FHA-insured mortgage products and preservation tools.

Robert remains a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts.

Robert earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School (1998; cum laude) and holds a B.A. in Political Science from The College of the Holy Cross (1994).

Robert lives in Boston, Massachusetts with his wife Kelly.
