Jon Heald

Jon Heald joined Rockport Mortgage in June 2005 and currently serves as a Senior Vice President, Originations.

Jon's prior 20 years at Rockport Mortgage were spent as a Mortgage Underwriter. In that role, Jon was involved in all aspects of the underwriting process, from initial loan sizing, through coordination of third-party due diligence, and loan application submission.

During his tenure at Rockport Mortgage, Jon underwrote HUD-insured loans totaling more than $2.5 billion across the broad range of HUD multifamily loan programs, including Section 223(f), 221(d)(4), 241(a), and 223(a)(7) loan programs.

His experience spans the full multifamily affordable housing spectrum, including LIHTC loan executions, as well as market-rate multifamily transactions. These professional experiences provide Jon with deep expertise across the full spectrum of HUD-insured multifamily financing options. With more than two decades of FHA multifamily underwriting experience, Jon has developed strong, collaborative relationships with HUD Production staff and third-party service providers throughout the country, positioning him to effectively navigate complex transactions in all markets.

In his role as a multifamily loan originator, Jon is able to leverage his extensive experience as a multifamily Mortgage Underwriter, bringing institutional knowledge, regulatory insight, and a practical, execution-focused perspective to Rockport Mortgage's clients and transaction partners.

Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Saint Anselm College. He earned a certificate in International Business from Richmond College in London, England, and has completed advanced study in HUD environmental assessment procedures at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Great Lakes Center for Environmental Studies.

Jon lives in southern New Hampshire with his wife, Kristen.
