James Heald

James Heald joined Rockport Mortgage Corporation in June 2018 and currently serves as an FHA MAP Underwriter. In this capacity, he participates in all aspects of the underwriting process, including initial loan sizing, financial and mortgage credit analysis, third-party report review, and preparation of HUD applications and underwriting narratives.

Since joining Rockport, James has worked in both analyst and underwriting capacities on 36 FHA-insured multifamily transactions totaling approximately $1.4 billion across eight states. His experience includes transactions processed under the Section 223(f), 241(a), and 221(d)(4) programs.

James graduated from the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance in 2018. He completed the Mortgage Bankers Association’s FHA Multifamily Underwriter Training Program in 2023.
