George Lieser co-founded Rockport Mortgage Corporation in 1992 and currently serves as Senior Vice President. In this capacity he assists clients across the nation in the structuring, underwriting and closing of HUD/FHA-insured mortgages, with a core concentration on affordable and market-rate multifamily housing communities and healthcare facilities.
George began his career in St. Louis, Missouri at the Pantheon Corporation where he was responsible for Multifamily Real Estate Development and Property Management. His mortgage banking career started at Mercantile Mortgage Corporation, where his responsibilities included origination of HUD insured project loans for apartments and healthcare properties. In 1983 George opened the GMAC Commercial Mortgage office in Boston, and in 1988 purchased GMAC’s HUD lending division to start a national mortgage company named Reinlein/Lieser/McGee.
George is actively involved in various charitable and civic organizations, including the Cape Ann YMCA, and the Holy Family Parish Mission. George has a B.A. in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Urban Affairs from St. Louis University, and a Master’s Degree in Theology from Boston College.
