Ellen Guelfi

Ellen Guelfi joined Rockport Mortgage in 2013 as Vice President. Responsible for the origination and structuring of HUD/FHA-insured mortgage loans, Ellen has broad experience in the financing of affordable and market-rate multifamily properties.

Prior to joining Rockport Mortgage, Ellen spent 9 years as Vice President, Loan Originator for CW Capital and its successor, Walker & Dunlop, where she worked exclusively within the FHA lending division. During her time at CW Capital and Rockport Mortgage, Ellen has arranged over $660 million in multifamily project financing.

Ellen began her real estate finance career in the Office of Multifamily Housing with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in Boston, MA and left as a Senior Project Manager. In her 15 years at HUD, Ellen provided guidance to staff in the proper policies and procedures for implementing multifamily housing programs and communicated guidance of these programs to clients. Further, she analyzed and evaluated transactions to recommend and take corrective actions to resolve any issues or problems in the development process. In addition, Ms. Guelfi provided assistance to public and private sponsors and applicants to HUD’s multifamily housing programs, and marketed HUD’s various programs to new and existing clients.
